“I just…thought things were moving a little fast is all,” the woman—Elizabeth, that was her name—told the friend of her recent ex over a cup of coffee.  She was rather smartly dressed in a business suit, though she only worked as a secretary to a small, if moderately well-off copy business.
“But to drop him by voice-mail?  Isn’t that a trifle harsh?” the friend—Seiteki, a writer for the local newspaper—replied, his spoon clinking gently against the sides of his cup as he stirred in sugar and cream.  He was dressed casually in loose, silky black pants and a green poet’s shirt that exposed most of his well-muscled chest.
“Well…maybe,” she admitted, looking away with embarrassed motions.
Seiteki shrugged, returning his attention to his coffee.  “He sounded highly distressed when he called me up this morning after he hea angel child demon childThey tell you that the angels are not the ones you’re supposed to be scared of.  They tell you that the angels only want the best for you, that they’ll protect you.  From what?  You sometimes ask.  From who?
From anything, they’ll tell you.  From the demons.
But the angels are liars.  They don’t really want what’s best for you; they want what’s best for them.  And what’s best for them involved manipulating anyone and everyone around them into thinking that they’re the good guys come to save us from the evil demons.  And of course ‘saving’ involves you obeying their word and the words of their god without question.
The demons aren’t like that.  They really want what’s best for you, and as a person.  They won’t just tell you to not do something.  They’ll tell you that they think something is a bad idea and they
